Depending on which brand of Dead Latch Deadlock you choose it will determine what the  cost of a dead latch will be. The most common brand of Dead Latches is the Lockwood 001 Dead latch. The 001 Lockwood Dead latch is used commonly in homes, town houses, complexes and units especially where there is a fire exit main door.  The Lock is Approved following the legislations of Fire Laws.

Lockwood 001 Dead Latch Dead Lock

The Lockwood 001 has a Lock Alert feature which is an indicator that shows if the lock is opened or closed.  There are six versions of the 001 Double Cylinder Lockwood deadlock.

The 001 Lockwood Dead Latch is available in the Colours of Satin Chrome Pearl (SP)which is a matt silver colour, Chrome Plate (CP) Which is a shiny polish silver look, Brown (BRN) and Everbrass (EVB) a shiny Gold Looking Lock.

All the Locks below can be used on any standard door that is between 30-45mm in thickness.

001-1K1  Lockwood  Dead Latch – This suits inward opening doors made of  Timber.

001-1L1  Lockwood  Dead Latch – This is a lever handle that suits inward opening doors made of Timber.

001-3K1 Lockwood  Dead Latch – Used with inward opening doors that have a metal frame. This dead latch does not have a lever handle and is very common among units, flats and apartment building doors. This Lock has an automatic release function when you open the door which is permitted to be installed to a fire door exit.

001-3L1 Lockwood  Dead Latch – A Lever Handle Dead Latch that is suitable for doors that open inward with a metal frame around the outside. This  Dead Latch is an approved Fire door Lock made by Lockwood that has a fire rating. These Locks are usually found on Apartment Doors, Unit doors and Flat Doors. This Lock is made easy in case there is a fire you can easily escape.

001-4K1 Lockwood  Dead Latch – Can be used on outward opening doors with a Timber Frame

001-4L1 Lockwood  Dead Latch – Lever style Handle for outward opening doors with a Timber Frame.
